Doctor Who Season 13 announces title, villains, and premiere date

The BBC has confirmed that the 13th season of Doctor Who will premiere on October 31st, Halloween. The show also revealed its first trailer for the newest installment of the series, which will be the last for Jodie Whittaker in the iconic role.

A new title for the season, Doctor Who: Flux, was part of the reveal. Each of the eight episodes in this season will be connected as part of a larger story. The new season will find The Doctor and Yaz encountering two new companions, played by John Bishop and Jacob Anderson.

HBO Max debuts poster for Young Justice: Phantoms

The fourth season of Young Justice, now known as Young Justice: Phantoms is set to premiere on HBO Max soon. The new season will continue exploring the lives of Superboy, Zatanna, Nightwing, and others as it will be focusing more on the core cast.

Showrunners Brandon Vietti and Greg Weisman also offered a few more teases about what’s coming in Season 4.

Said Weisman, “This season focuses more on individual character dynamics than on League/Team/Outsider politics. But we will see a bit of each of these squads (among others). And covert action is always an important part of the Young Justice dynamic.”

The third season ended with a teaser that suggested the Legion of Super-Heroes will play a role in Phantoms. Without revealing specifics, Vietti said, “We wouldn’t call last season’s ending a cliffhanger. But obviously, we wouldn’t drop in the Legion ring without a plan to follow up on it.”

Rockstar announces Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition

Rockstar has officially announced Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition. The bundle includes Grand Theft Auto 3, GTA: Vice City, and GTA: San Andreas and will be available on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series S&X, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC later this year. It will also land on iOS and Android in the first half of 2022.

Rockstar says the revamped games will have upgraded visuals and modern gameplay enhancements while retaining the look and feel of the originals. More details about the changes will be revealed in the coming weeks.

Elsewhere, the publisher plans to celebrate the 20th anniversary of GTA III later this month. Some special events and commemorative gear are coming to GTA Online this fall.

Wentworth Miller to return as Captain Cold for Legends of Tomorrow 100th episode

DC’s Legends of Tomorrow will bring back some familiar friends for its 100th episode. During an interview with CBR, showrunner Phil Klemmer revealed that the milestone episode will feature the return of Wentworth Miller as Captain Cold, among other past characters.

Miller’s Leonard Snart made the transition from The Flash to Legends of Tomorrow in 2016. However, his tenure on the Arrowverse series was short-lived. Another iteration of that character returned as an alternate-world version for 2017’s Crisis on Earth-X crossover and reprised the role for a handful of episodes for Season 3 of Legends. He has not appeared onscreen in the Arrowverse since then.
