Previously we had reported on Ivan Reitman’s confirmed involvement in Ghostbusters 3 and his refusal to comment on Sigourney Weaver’s potential spoiler information in regards to Bill Murray making an appearance. This time, Bill Murray himself has confirmed that spoiler information to be true in an interview with Live.
Murray told Live:
I’ll come back in Ghostbusters III only if I get to be a ghost. I said to them, ‘I’ll do it if you kill me off in the first reel.’ So now they are going to have me as a ghost in the film.
