Paul Verhoeven’s 1997 sci-fi picture Starship Troopers is the next movie in talks of getting the reboot treatment. Sony Pictures producer Neal Moritz has assigned the script to screenwriters Ashley Edward Miller and Zack Stentz, who wrote both Thor and X-Men: First Class.
Casper Van Dien, Dina Meyer, Denise Richards, Jake Busey, Neil Patrick Harris, Patrick Muldoon and Michael Ironside starred in the original, in which Earth is at war with a race of giant alien insects.
