Lionsgate is looking to bring American Psycho back to the big screen. Noble Jones is set to write and direct a remake of Bret Easton Ellis’ 1991 satirical novel, which was previously adaptedĀ  and starring Christian Bale in 2000.

Set in Manhattan during the Wall Street boom of the late 1980s, American Psycho details the daily life of Patrick Bateman, a wealthy investment banker by day who plays out his homicidal fantasies by night.

While still in the early stages of development, Jones has turned in a script that explores how Bateman would fare in a modern-day New York City.
