Nintendo wrapped up their E3 Nintendo Direct with a teaser trailer for the next game in the Super Smash Bros. series. This generation of Super Smash Brothers will be available for both the 3DS and the Wii U. It appears that Nintendo’s all-star game will appear in a more cartoon-like fashion on the 3DS while the Wii U version will have HD graphics improved from Brawl. Connectivity between the two versions has already been hinted at. The game will release in 2014 and you can see the official website here. It is unclear whether the titles listed in the trailer are simply place holders or if the game will officially be called “Super Smash Bros. for Wii U” or “For Nintendo 3DS”.

The regulars are back along with at least 2 new characters. Villager, the Animal Crossing resident who runs off to battle, will be added to the roster. From what we can see, he will be bringing in elements both from the Animal Crossing world as well as some lesser known Nintendo Classics such as Balloon Fight.

A New Challenger Approaches!

There was also one other character revealed in the Nintendo Direct after the trailer. Check out the video below to see what other major character will be joining the fight!
