Marking the one-year anniversary of the device, Microsoft is reporting via the Kinect for Windows Blog that Microsoft Kinect will be officially expanding from the Xbox 360 to the PC, with the first commercial program to be released in early 2012.

At the moment, developers are already creating programs for the device on PC using the Kinect for Windows SDK. If you’re one of those developers or are interested in becoming one, you can download the newly released beta 2 of the SDK from the newly launched Kinect for Windows site.
