Batman: Arkham City will feature a new option to extend its replay value beyond free roaming or beating your friends’ scores in Challenge Mode. The game will feature a New Game Plus mode, which is unlocked upon completing one play-through of the game on normal or hard difficulty. Players will be able to select this option from the menu in order to start a new game that retains all of Batman’s and Catwoman’s experience and gadgets that they had previously earned.

If you think beefing up Batman from the start is simply unfair to the criminals of Gotham, think again. New Game Plus mode will also feature tougher thugs in different configurations than the normal game, increased boss difficulty, and the counter icon will completely disappear from thug battles. Better get your timing down if you wanna keep cracking ribs.

There’s also only one difficulty setting for New Game Plus regardless of whether you finish the game on normal or hard.
