A ton of images for X-Men: First Class have hit the internet lately, some of which director Matthew Vaughn is not too happy about. Regarding the first three images shown here of the group, Vaughn told /Film the following:

“I freaked out on them yesterday. I don’t know where the hell that came from. I don’t think it’s a Fox image. It’s not a pre-approved image. When I found out, I said, what the fuck is this shit, and Fox is running around trying to figure out what happened as well. I agree. It’s like a bad photoshop, which maybe it was by someone. It didn’t reflect the movie. I was shocked when I saw it. I was like ‘Jesus Christ’…

Vaughn assures fans that he has the best intentions.

“I’m a fan of X-Men. We’re not bastardizing X-Men, I’m trying to get them back to being whole again.”

To make up for the images that Vaughn wasn’t happy about, he provided these two featuring James McAvoy as Professor Charles Xavier and Michael Fassbender as Erik Lehnsherr/Magneto.

  • This movie is going to bomb. Wait and see. There are no enjoyable characters. No wolverine, gambit, or any of the other people that fans want to see. I know, you’re thinking \but those people were not in the original\. Well the answer to that is \they had to add them to the originals because the original x-men sucked and they needed to spice it up. i’m saddened by the look of this movie. I’d rather watch Harry Potter…all of them, back to back for 48 hours straight
