With the delay of NBA Elite 11, NBA Jam will now be released as a standalone product on both PS3 and Xbox 360.

According to EA Sports, NBA Elite 11 has been delayed beyond its release date next month. The good news, for gamers like me, is that they have decided to release NBA Jam as a standalone product on both PS3 and Xbox 360. You might recall a previous announcement from EA that stated NBA Jam would only be available on those two platforms as a bonus with the purchase of NBA Elite 11.

The release from EA states, “NBA JAM will launch on the Wii, as scheduled, on October 5. In addition to the Wii version, we’re going to ship NBA JAM as a standalone product on the Xbox360 and PS3 in time for the holidays. Watch for more news soon on the exact timing of that release.” Well played EA Sports. You now have another buyer of NBA Jam where you previously had none. Well played, indeed.
