THQ stopped by Gamespot to give details and footage of 'WWE Smackdown vs. Raw 2011' and 'WWE Allstars'.

Cory Ledesma, THQ’s producer on the WWE Smackdown series, stopped by Gamespot to introduce some footage and features of WWE Smackdown vs. Raw 2011.

Some details from the interview below:

  • Introduction of “Dynamic Physics” – objects now break based on how they’re contacted
  • New weapon moves have been added including more stackable objects
  • Chairs can now be thrown
  • Object pieces will stay in the ring longer before fading away
  • Move direction can now be adjusted in mid-air (aim a suplex after you’ve already lifted your opponent up)
  • “Muscle flex technology” has been added – muscles flex as animations are performed
  • Demo contains Undertaker, The Miz, Randy Orton, and Chris Jericho
  • Release date: October 26th, 2010

In addition to WWE Smackdown vs. Raw 2011, a new WWE game was announced by THQ producer Sal Divita titled WWE Allstars. While not much footage was shown, here are the details discussed in the interview below:

  • Meant to be “exaggerated reality” (larger-muscled characters, more powerful movesets)
  • Control style is more like a “fighting game” in that response time is much faster
  • Footage displayed a match of John Cena vs. The Rock
  • Release date: “early 2011”
