According to various sources, Martin Sheen is in final talks to play Uncle Ben in Marc Webb’s Spider-Man reboot.
While not yet 100% definite, it appears that Sally Field has been offered the role of Aunt May.
Should she accept, Field and Sheen will join a cast that includes Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker/Spider-Man, Emma Stone as love interest Gwen Stacy and Rhys Ifans as the movie’s unnamed villain.
Spider-Man is currently set for a July 3, 2012 release.
