Look, I’m just as annoyed as you are by that little goober popping up on screen and making me really embarrassed that I want to play this game, but the fact remains that… I want to play this game. Sorcery might just be everything Harry Potter fans have been waiting for in a game, that is if you can overlook the fact that Harry Potter’s not in it.

An international trailer for Summit’s Red has debuted. Opening in theaters on October 15, the Robert Schwentke-directed action comedy stars Bruce Willis, Morgan Freeman, John Malkovich, Helen Mirren, Karl Urban, Mary-Louise Parker, Brian Cox, Julian McMahon and Richard Dreyfuss.

In the film, based on the DC Comics graphic novel by Warren Ellis and Cully Hammer, Frank (Willis), Joe (Freeman), Marvin (Malkovich) and Victoria (Mirren) used to be the CIA’s top agents – but the secrets they know just made them the Agency’s top targets. Now framed for assassination, they must use all of their collective cunning, experience and teamwork to stay one step ahead of their deadly pursuers and stay alive. To stop the operation, the team embarks on an impossible, cross-country mission to break into the top-secret CIA headquarters, where they will uncover one of the biggest conspiracies and cover-ups in government history.

Olivia Thirlby (Juno, The Wackness) has joined the cast of Judge Dredd.

Thirlby will play Judge Cassandra Anderson, a psychically powered rookie Judge who teams with Judge Dredd (Karl Urban) for training. Set in a dystopian future, the British comic book adaptation focuses on a police force given the power to act as judge, jury and executioner to whomsoever they perceive to be part of the criminal element.

Looks like my initial speculation was 100% accurate. Telltale Games has revealed that their previously released teaser video is for their upcoming game Poker Night at the Inventory.

Prepare for a different kind of poker night in a very different kind of club. In Poker Night at the Inventory, you’ll deal with Penny Arcade’s clever, cunning Tycho, Team Fortress 2′s hulking Heavy, Homestar Runner’s self-proclaimed “awesome icon” Strong Bad and the hyperkinetic “rabbity-thing” from Sam & Max.

According to the Telltale Blog,  “Poker Night at the Inventory is more than just another poker title since the characters featured in the game have so much unique personality. Watching Max react to winning a hand and in turn The Heavy’s gun is a sight to be seen. Anybody that knows Max can anticipate how he would react to acquiring such a perfect tool of destruction.”

Exciting that Telltale Games is doing something like this with their characters, however, I can’t say I’m excited to play a poker game at all.
