21st Century Fox has the licensing for them,the Super Skrull,Galactus,the Silver Surfer,the Fantastic Four and maybe the Kree also.. That’s why you never heard any mention of Superman in the Batman films and vice versa.

Hmmmmmm;

In Captain America, the Cosmic Cube was present. In Thor, we saw a glimpse of the Infinity Gauntlet in Odin’s Vault…

Only one person has tried to end life in the Universe using either the Cube or the Gauntlet to please the personification of Death,his lover…..Thanos.

The only another villians I can guess is the Chitauri; they aided the Nazis and were adversaries of the Ultimates Capt. America which which the Avengers are based on the Ultimates version of them.

Well done. I’m not absolutely boycotting this anymore. A re-telling is much better than attempting to in any way replace Bruce Campbell. This might actually end up being a fun, goofy, bloodfest, which will be worth my time and money.

Tigersharks were part of a lesser known cartoon compilation show. They basically got their powers by immersing themselves in some kind of formula that altered their DNA into a combination of human and aquatic creature fighting against an alien invasion of other aquatic aliens. That way you had Land (Thundercats), Sea (TigerSharks), and Air (Silverhawks).

Ultimate Spider-man isn’t exactly a reboot (if you were adding it to that category), more of a handing of the torch off. So far it’s been pretty good. The Death of Spider Man arc was really good.

Gerren, I agree those were probably more impactful but I am biased towards Spidey as he is my favorite character and I thought it was a more well written event then the others.

I’d argue that Spider Island should be moved down the list to #6. Fear Itself, Miles Morales, and Schism were much more important.

The first Alien movie is what made me have the ambition to someday become an art director for a movie. HR Giger’s work on the sets and creative direction of the entire film made it such a success. I’m not a horror movie fan, to me it’s like anime in that I feel only 1 – 2% of it is very good and the rest is not my cup of tea. Alien had intelligence to it, it wasn’t just gore and slime every 5 minutes, it had layers upon layers of metaphors, biological, and psychological fears. It was the dark side to art and I hope Scott can produce the same darkness in Prometheus.

I’m very interested in the new Ultimate Spiderman, that sounds quite interesting. I’m going to play a little Devil’s advocate here and say that my opinion is this; Rebooting everything is a sad solution to get people interested in a comic series. While I do agree that they can be very interesting and good stories when they are rebooted, I can’t help but get this big message from publishers of “it’s easier to start over than continue with the mess we’ve made… ” (speaking of messes, dear God Marvel why are you going BACK to Age of Apocalypse?! The series that ended my interest in X-Men and Marvel!).

Marvel also has this habit of milking to death any successful concept that seems to come along every 10 – 15 years for them. In this case, Civil War was their success so now I have this bad feeling they’re going to keep making super hero team vs. super team splits and controversy until we all get sick of it.

None the less, great post and review you definitely introduced me to some series I had no idea about but am now very interested in. Thanks Bryan!
