DONTNOD has revealed the official trailer for Life is Strange 2, along with additional details about the story.

DONTNOD has revealed the official trailer for Life is Strange 2, along with additional details about the story.

The main characters of Life is Strange 2 are brothers Sean (16) and Daniel Diaz (9), two brothers living a fairly normal life in Seattle, Washington state. Following a tragic event, their lives are forever changed. Now on the run from the police and threatened with both separation and incarceration, Sean decides to take his younger brother and seek a better life in their family’s home town of Puerto Lobos, Mexico.

Life on the road is tough and dangerous. The brothers will face all manner of challenges as they bravely undertake a journey that will test the bonds of brotherhood. Playing as Sean, you will need to make the kind of tough choices you can expect from a Life is Strange game, and you will need to live with the consequences of your actions. The game will this time focus on brotherhood alongside the need to guide and educate your younger brother whilst simultaneously coming of age yourself. As with previous games in the series, Life is Strange 2 will tackle a host of issues that all of us can identify with and that will cause moral dilemmas and require much soul searching. These themes come together most powerfully in the way Daniel will develop depending on the lessons you teach him and the role model you decide to be.

We are also really excited to confirm that Life is Strange 2 will feature a new power. What it is and how it relates to the brothers is something you will discover in due course!

As Sean and Daniel travel towards Mexico, they will meet an entirely new cast of characters and pass through numerous new settings. Life is Strange 2 will also include multiple features that will be unveiled over the course of the next week, as we strive to deliver the most ambitious Life is Strange entry with the highest production values in the game series to date. Jonathan Morali, the French composer who worked with the team on the first game, is also composing a new original soundtrack for Life is Strange 2 which will be supported by a brand new licensed soundtrack.

A San Diego Comic-Con trailer for LEGO DC Super-Villains has been released.

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, TT Games, The LEGO Group, and DC Entertainment have released the official LEGO DC Super-Villains trailer to celebrate this week’s San Diego Comic Con.

For the first time, a LEGO game is giving players the ability to create and play as their own DC Super-Villain throughout the game. Their character becomes the center of the story, while teaming up with an iconic variety of villains to adventure through the hilarious and original story written in collaboration with DC. LEGO DC Super-Villains will be available October 16 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.

In LEGO DC Super-Villains, the Justice League has disappeared, leaving Earth’s protection to a newcomer group of heroes from a parallel universe, proclaiming themselves as the ‘Justice Syndicate’. Renowned DC Super-Villains from the ‘Legion Of Doom’ discover Earth’s newest heroes may not be the heroes they claim to be. With each player’s completely customizable Super-Villain character in command, this team of misfit lawbreakers must join forces to discover and foil the evil plans the incognito strangers have in store.

At the beginning of the campaign, players can create their own unique villain and main character throughout, while also teaming up with a variety of DC Super-Villains throughout the story mode. As players progress, they will unlock new abilities, powers and can continue to customize their character to take on the evil threat. Friends and family can join story mode at any time with the fun, two-player, local co-op experiences where players can team up in epic boss fights.

A Deluxe Edition of the game, featuring the main game content, Season Pass content and early access to the DC Super-Villains: TV Series DLC Character Pack, is now available for pre-order. An exclusive LEGO minifigure, Lex Luthor Superman, also comes with the physical version of the Deluxe Edition, while digital consumers will receive the Justice League Dark DLC Character Pack with their Deluxe Edition.

Quantic Dream has released a new trailer for David Cage's Detroit: Become Human that highlights Kara, a familiar android.

Quantic Dream has released a new trailer for David Cage’s Detroit: Become Human that highlights Kara, a familiar android.

Along with the new trailer, we’ve learned that Detroit: Become Human will finally be available sometime next Spring!

David Cage had this to say, courtesy of PlayStation.Blog:

When we released a short video called “Kara” in 2011, we never imagined where it would take us. Initially just a tech demo, the story of this female android wanting to be free moved millions of people online and won an award at the LA Short Festival — a first for a short based on a game engine.

Since then, I tried to imagine what happened to Kara after she left the factory. I had to imagine a world, our world in 20 years – the city of Detroit reborn thanks to the android industry.

I also imagined two other playable characters: Connor, the deviant hunter working with the humans, and Markus, the leader of the android revolution.

Since we introduced Detroit with a teaser focused on Kara, we released demos of Connor and Markus. We wanted to close the loop by showing a demo of Kara, which we are proud to do at Paris Games Week, the place where we revealed the game to the world for the first time.

The scene we are presenting is a very important moment in Kara’s story: we discover that she is owned by a human, Todd Williams, the single father of a little girl called Alice.

At this point, Kara is an obedient android in charge of taking care of the house and Alice – but the situation turns out in an unexpected way. Confronted with Todd’s violence toward his little girl, Kara feels compelled to disobey and risk her life to save Alice.

This is the beginning of an intense road trip that will take them – Kara the deviant android and Alice the little girl – through the darkest corners of Detroit in a journey of danger, fear, and hope.

Detroit is the story of our world in twenty years, a world where androids that look like humans are treated like objects and have no rights. It is the story of three androids’ struggles: Kara escaping to protect a little girl, Markus fighting to be free, and Connor chasing deviants; three stories that may well determine the future of all androids.

As the player, you will tell these three intertwined stories simultaneously through your actions and decisions. You will be confronted with difficult choices, moral dilemmas, and critical decisions that will shape the destiny of your characters and the future of their world.

Your actions will significantly change the story. Choices made as one character may have an impact on the others. You will also need to remember that all three characters can die at any point, which won’t lead to a game over, but will allow the story to continue without them…

Detroit offers a unique experience, something you have never played before. It is a spectacular and unexpected journey full of emotions, twists and turns, dangers and hopes, in the most branching experience ever created by Quantic Dream; where every choice matters.

While playing Detroit, you will not only discover these three characters but many others, and we hope you will remember Connor, Markus, and Kara’s stories for a long time – three androids fighting to become who they are…

Naughty Dog revealed a brand new trailer for The Last of Us Part II at Paris Games Week 2017.

Here’s what they had to say about the upcoming title:

At its core, The Last of Us is still very much about Ellie and Joel, but for this reveal, we wanted to showcase several new characters that are integral to their next journey. We’re sure you have many questions after watching this scene. We’re also pretty sure that we’re going to see all sorts of theories about whom these characters are, where and when this scene takes place, and how all of this fits into Ellie and Joel’s next story. For now we’re keeping mum, but we’re excited to see what y’all make of this piece of the puzzle.

With all of Naughty Dog working on The Last of Us Part II, we’re making great headway into the project. From art, technology, gameplay, and story, this is by far our most ambitious game yet. You’re in for an intense, beautiful, harrowing, and emotionally moving ride. We’re extremely proud of the game we’re crafting and can’t wait to show you even more – and we promise you won’t have to wait as long for the next big reveal!

Until next time, endure and survive!

Telltale Games, alongside DC Entertainment and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, have announced Batman: The Enemy Within – The Telltale Series, a new five-part, episodic game series that continues Telltale’s unique take on the Caped Crusader. Episode one, ‘The Enigma,’ will be available for download starting August 8th, 2017 on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC and Mac, and will become available on iOS and Android-based devices later this year.

The series will also be available at retailers this October for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on a special ‘Season Pass Disc,’ which will include the first episode of the season, as well as download access to all subsequent episodes as they are released through an online connection.

In this latest chapter, both Bruce Wayne and Batman will be forced into precarious new roles. The Riddler has returned to terrorize Gotham City, but his gruesome puzzles merely foreshadow an even greater crisis. With the arrival of a ruthless federal agent and the return of a still nascent Joker, Batman must navigate uneasy alliances while Bruce Wayne undertakes a perilous series of deceptions. Which of Batman’s new allies will you choose to trust? And how deep into the darkness will you let Bruce descend?

This new season will be accessible to both returning fans and newcomers alike, though players’ choices from the first season of Batman: The Telltale Series will optionally carry over into The Enemy Within. This season will also include Telltale’s unique multiplayer ‘Crowd Play’ feature, which allows friends and family to engage with the adventure together by helping to decide the direction of the story from any mobile device with an online connection.

Rendered to look like a living, breathing comic book, Telltale’s vision of Batman features an award-winning cast of talent including Troy Baker, who returns to reprise his role as Bruce Wayne, as well as Anthony Ingruber, who will reprise his fresh take on ‘John Doe,’ better known to fans as The Joker.

Batman: The Enemy Within will be a standalone product separate from the first season of Batman: The Telltale Series and is licensed by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and based on DC’s iconic character. The second season will be available for download on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC, Mac, iOS, and Android-based devices. The series is currently in development and has not yet been rated by the ESRB.

Telltale Games and Robert Kirkman’s Skybound Entertainment have announced that the critically acclaimed The Walking Dead: The Telltale Series – The Final Season (working title) is now in development to premiere in 2018.

In a series retrospective released in celebration of Comic-Con through Telltale’s Summer 2017 Update, the development team at Telltale sat down to reflect on the journey of series protagonist ‘Clementine’ since the first episode premiered in April of 2012. In discussing the character’s path all the way through 2017’s conclusion of The Walking Dead: A New Frontier, Telltale confirmed that this fourth and final season would focus on Clementine in the lead role, allowing players to fully step back into the shoes of the fan favorite character.

“It’s going to be an amazing experience. Thank you all so much, from the bottom of my heart,” said Melissa Hutchison, the award-winning actress who has been the voice of ‘Clementine’ since 2012. “It’s been a lot of blood, sweat, and tears, and so much love has been behind this whole experience. Good luck, I’ll be right there with you.”

The Walking Dead: The Final Season (working title) will debut in 2018 on consoles, PC/Mac, iOS and Android-based devices. Additional platforms are yet to be announced.

The Walking Dead is set in the world of Robert Kirkman’s award-winning comic book series and offers an emotionally-charged, tailored game experience where a player’s actions and choices affect how their story plays out across the entire series.

In partnership with DC Entertainment and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, Telltale Games today announced a second season of The Wolf Among Us: A Telltale Games Series, the critically-acclaimed and award-winning episodic adventure game series based on Bill Willingham’s ‘Fables’ comic book series, is set to debut in 2018.

With overwhelming popular demand from fans since the series concluded in 2014, Telltale surprised their fans in an announcement video from the cast and crew confirming that the project is coming in the year ahead. Though this new season has not yet been officially titled, it will debut in the second half of 2018 across all major gaming consoles and mobile gaming devices. This new season will begin a fresh story arc for its returning cast of characters, featuring the return of Adam Harrington as Bigby Wolf and Erin Yvette as Snow White.

The Wolf Among Us: A Telltale Games Series was met with critical-acclaim and heralded as a 2014 Game of the Year Contender by Gamespot.com. The series also received awards for ‘Best Story’ and ‘Best Performances’ by IGN.com, and was awarded ‘Best Narrative’ at the SXSW Gaming Awards.

The final episode of The Wolf Among Us: A Telltale Games Series received a 9.3 out of 10 score from IGN.com, who awarded it ‘Game of the Month’ saying, “Simply put, The Wolf Among Us’ finale provides some of the finest storytelling I’ve played in a long time… Telltale’s finale is a fantastic adventure, and some of the best work the studio has ever done.” Nerdist.com called the series, upon its conclusion, “a tour de force of sex, lies, murder, deceit, and, ultimately, hope.”

A consistent New York Times bestseller, Fables was created by Bill Willingham and became one of DC Entertainment’s longest-running series, published under its Vertigo imprint from 2002 to 2015. With over a dozen Eisner Awards — including Best Writer, Best New Series, and numerous wins for Best Serialized Story — the Fables universe has become one of the richest mythologies in the world of comics, imagining that characters from the world’s most beloved storybooks are real and living among us with all of their powers intact.

The second season of The Wolf Among Us: A Telltale Games Series will be a standalone product separate from season one and is licensed by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. The second season will be available for download on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC, Mac, iOS, and Android-based devices. Additional platforms are yet to be announced. The series is currently in development and has not yet been rated by the ESRB.

Funcom's acclaimed game to be reborn as a shared-world action RPG with new gameplay systems and 100+ hours of stories and quests playable for free.

Funcom is excited to announce that their acclaimed story-driven game The Secret World will be relaunched this spring as Secret World Legends, a shared-world action RPG with completely revamped combat, a newly designed progression system, and updated visuals. The game’s full collection of missions and mysteries will be free to play, with over 100 hours of mature storytelling and surprises. Players can sign up for Secret World Legends’ beta at www.SecretWorldLegends.com

“Over the course of five years, The Secret World has created a truly memorable RPG universe that stands out to this day for the uniqueness of its dark setting and tone, the depth of its quest design, and the high quality of its voice acting throughout,” said Rui Casais, CEO of Funcom. “Secret World Legends uses that foundation to mark a new era for the game, offering a fresh start for newcomers and long-time fans alike, delivering a captivating journey that can be enjoyed entirely on your own or with friends.”

Secret World Legends plunges players into a shadowy war against the supernatural in an adventure that crosses our world with the realms of ancient myth and legend. As players traverse the globe unraveling complex investigations into the unknown, they’ll need to uncover clues and use their own wits as much as their characters’ abilities. A highly extensive and customizable arsenal of firearms, weapons, gear and otherworldly powers will give players the strength to battle the forces of darkness as they dig deeper into these vast and mysterious lands. Players can go at it alone and enjoy the over 100 hours of story at their own pace, or team up with others as they explore the world and unravel its mysteries.

“One of our biggest goals in relaunching the game has been to reimagine the core gameplay experience in a way befitting a modern-day action RPG,” said Scott Junior, Executive Producer. “Secret World Legends features combat that feels more natural, deep systems that are more intuitive, better structuring of the early game for new players, and improved mission flow to strengthen the pace of progression for players.”

For more information on Secret World Legends, including a detailed breakdown of the game’s features, visit www.SecretWorldLegends.com

Looking for answers to your questions? Funcom also released this handy FAQ which will hopefully address your concerns.

General

What is Secret World Legends?

We are relaunching our acclaimed story-driven online game The Secret World (TSW) as Secret World Legends, a shared-world action RPG with revamped combat, updated visuals, and newly designed progression systems and quest flow that is completely free to play.

Why are you relaunching the game?

We go into detail about the many reasons behind the relaunch of the game in our producer’s letter to the community, which we hope you get a chance to read here: https://secretworldlegends.com/news/letter_from_the_producer/

But in short, we’re incredibly proud of the ways in which The Secret World has grown in terms of the depth and extent of its storytelling, and we’re ready for more players to be able to experience it in full by removing the hurdles of a pay-upfront structure. It’s also an opportune moment to bring this vibrant universe up to date with where we see modern action RPGs are, with some ambitious adjustments to gameplay, progression, structure, and more, which we hope will result in a more satisfying player experience overall.

How does Secret World Legends differ from The Secret World?

One major difference is that the game is free to play for everyone. But just as importantly, Secret World Legends has updates befitting a modern-day action RPG. This includes a redesigned combat system to make action feel more natural, more intuitive systems to interact with, enhanced visuals, an improved flow of quests, and improved structure of the early game for new players.

What do you mean by “free to play”?

“Free to play” or F2P means that anyone can download and play Secret World Legends without spending any money to purchase the game. All content is available to everyone and does NOT require a subscription or purchase in order to play.

Is the game free?

Yes! Everyone can play what we feel is the best shared-world RPG on the market for free!

How do I play for free?

When Secret World Legends launches, you will be able to download and play the game for free via the Steam client.

How much of the game is free?

All content in the game is free!

What about future content releases? Are those free?

All content will be free: current, past, and future!

Is the game “Pay to Win” now?

No. You will be able to earn everything in the game without spending money.

Will I need a credit card to play?

You do NOT need a credit card to play. The game is free for everyone! If you want to make purchases in game via Steam, that can be done using the Steam wallet. Aurum and the Patron Bonus System will require a valid form of payment at the time you make the purchase.

What is Aurum and what can I use it for?

Aurum is used to purchase a variety of in-game items and services in Secret World Legends. This includes but is not limited to: additional weapon pages, extra inventory space, additional characters, exclusive vanity items, and much more!

How many characters do I get on my account?

By default, each account grants access to one character slot. Additional character slots may be purchased in game.

What is the exchange?

The exchange allows you to buy Aurum from other players for in-game currency.

Do I need Steam to play?

At launch, Secret World Legends will only be available through Steam. We plan on adding a non-Steam version of Secret World Legends soon after launch.

Patron Rewards Program

What is the Patron Rewards Program?

The Patron Rewards Program is a loyalty program that rewards players with extra features, additional convenience, and in-game bonuses. It is not required in order to play Secret World Legends.

How do I become a Patron?

You can purchase access to the Patron Rewards Program in game. Once purchased, you will be granted access to the Patron Rewards Program for 30 days.

What is Patron Level?

Your Patron Level grants additional bonuses to the Patron Rewards Program. Every purchase of Aurum or month you are a Patron will go towards increasing your rank. You can view your current Patron Level, Patron Status, and all related benefits by clicking the Patron Rewards Program icon in game.

What happens when I am no longer a Patron?

All benefits associated with the program are active while you are a Patron. When your time expires, you will lose access to those bonuses, but you will keep your current Patron Level. The next time you join the Patron Rewards Program, you will be back where you left off (or maybe a level higher!)

Returning Player FAQ:

Will all content from The Secret World be available in Secret World Legends at launch?

Secret World Legends will relaunch with the original eight adventure playfields, scenarios, and dungeons available immediately. In the time following the relaunch, we will release Tokyo, Nightmare Dungeons, Raids, and the rest of the content that is currently live in The Secret World.

Will you continue developing new content for Secret World Legends?

We have plans to create all-new story-driven content for Secret World Legends in the future, which we’ll be able to discuss in more detail after the relaunch of the game.

How do I link my Steam account to my old account?

Once you have launched the game, there will be a menu on the start screen that allows you to link your old The Secret World account to your new Secret World Legends account. Click this button, log into your old account, and confirm that you want to link them.

What does linking your account do?

When you link your account, you will be able to transfer over any remaining membership from TSW to Secret World Legends. In addition, you will be able to move over some vanity items from the previous game. You can also exchange your Funcom Points for Aurum.

What happens if I have an active subscription on TSW when the transition occurs?

After you have linked your account, your old TSW subscription will roll over into Patron Rewards Program time in Secret World Legends.

What about TSW Grand Masters?

Same as above. Link your Secret World Legends account to your old TSW account and you will become a Patron in Secret World Legends forever!

Will the old version of the game be playable?

Yes, the TSW servers will still be available to play. You will not be able to launch TSW via Steam though. If you are currently playing on Steam and want to continue after the launch of Secret World Legends, you can do so at: https://register.thesecretworld.com/account

Will any new content made for Secret World Legends be playable on The Secret World servers?

All new content will made exclusively for Secret World Legends.

Do I need to create a new character to play Secret World Legends?

Yes, everyone will begin Secret World Legends with a new character. Secret World Legends makes some major changes to itemization and character progression that aren’t compatible with the old game.

What happens to my old TSW character?

They’ll continue to live on the old TSW servers, so you’ll still be able to log in and play them. You will not be able to play them on the new Secret World Legends server though. It’s a new experience and fresh start for everyone.

What happens to all my stuff?

We are implementing a system to transfer over some vanity/store items from TSW to Secret World Legends. More on this will be released as we get closer to launch.

What about my name from TSW?

You will be able to reserve a name on your current TSW account to be used in Secret World Legends. You can find out more about this process here: https://secretworldlegends.com/news/namereservation/

What about my bonus points, Funcom points?

After you have linked your account, there will be an option to convert your Funcom points to the new Aurum. Bonus points will remain in TSW and can be used on the old server.

I don’t have a subscription – can I play when it goes free to play?

Definitely! Secret World Legends is free and available for everyone to play.

At the Sonic 25th Anniversary event at San Diego Comic Con, Sega announced next title in the Sonic franchise – Sonic Mania. The game is a return to Sonic’s 2-D roots featuring retro-inspired and brand new levels, traditional sprite artwork, and a focus on “core classic gameplay”.

Unlike titles such as Sonic Generations and Sonic the Hedgehog 4 Episodes I & II, the game won’t be a modernization of the old school games but rather a full embrace of the genesis classics.

The game will be available for PC, Playstation 4, and XBox One sometime in Spring 2017.

The studio surprised everyone by dropping a teaser trailer for Batman: Arkham VR at this year's Sony press conference at E3.

While Rocksteady had previously stated that Batman: Arkham Knight would be the last in its offerings in the Arkham universe, the studio surprised everyone by dropping a teaser trailer for Batman: Arkham VR at this year’s Sony press conference at E3.

While the teaser remains the only officially released footage so far, reports from hands-on demos at E3 say that the demo has two parts: suiting up as Batman and exploring a crime scene.

The first part of the demo starts you off in Wayne Manor, entering the Batcave, and then putting on the Batsuit. Once suited up, apparently turning to look in a mirror is a surreal experience as you’ve now essentially become Batman. Rocksteady reports that the final version of this portion will take roughly an hour, but will offer a lot of replayability discovering Easter eggs. And honestly… how can suiting up as Batman ever get tiresome?

The second part of the demo involves the crime scene of a murder, which you must reconstruct the events of. With your PlayStation Move controllers, you’ll take tools out of your utility belt and use them to help you piece the puzzle together.

While I still don’t have a VR set myself, I first got to experience the technology at this year’s PAX East and was very impressed. I’ve been on the fence about getting PlayStation VR, but with Batman: Arkham VR and other titles like Star Wars Battlefront: X-Wing VR Mission and Star Trek: Bridge Crew on the horizon, they may have one more customer.

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and DC Entertainment have announced Injustice 2, the super-powered sequel to the hit game Injustice: Gods Among Us.

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and DC Entertainment have announced Injustice 2, the super-powered sequel to the hit game Injustice: Gods Among Us. The newest game in development from the award-winning NetherRealm Studios features a massive roster of DC Super Heroes and Super-Villains and allows players to build and power up the ultimate version of their favorite DC characters. Injustice 2 will be available for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in 2017.

Injustice 2 offers the latest DC fighting game experience that expands on the previous title’s larger-than-life showdowns. Every battle defines you in a game where players personalize iconic DC characters with unique and powerful gear earned throughout the game. For the first time gamers can take control of how their characters look, fight, and develop across a variety of game modes.

The Gear System uses RPG-like mechanics to reward you with loot drops every time you play the game. With each loot drop, you will earn character-specific gear to outfit and power up your roster – changing not only the look of each character, but your fight strategy and your personal approach to every match. As you gear up your characters, you’re building a roster of DC Super Heroes and Super-Villains that reflects your choices, and your preferences, which can be vastly different than your opponents. A few play sessions in, you can expect your Aquaman to look and play different than anyone else’s Aquaman you may come across.

Injustice 2 continues the epic cinematic story introduced in Injustice: Gods Among Us as Batman and his allies work towards putting the pieces of society back together while struggling against those who want to restore Superman’s regime. In the midst of the chaos, a new threat appears that will put Earth’s existence at risk. Players can play from the biggest DC roster ever offered in a fighting game, from classic fan favorites such as Batman, Superman, Supergirl, and Aquaman, to astonishing new villains like Atrocitus and Gorilla Grodd. Battles will take place across arenas that have evolved in scale and span across iconic locations such as Metropolis, Gotham City, and Atlantis.

Canadian independent developer Frima Studio have released a behind-the-scenes video for Fated: The Silent Oath.

Canadian independent developer Frima Studio have released a behind-the-scenes video for Fated: The Silent Oath, its Norse-themed virtual reality game that launched last month on Oculus Rift and HTC Vive. The trailer provides a unique look into the inner workings of the game, and more insight into the development process of new experiences in virtual reality.

“Harnessing the power of virtual reality, Fated takes the players on a journey that packs an incredible emotional punch,” said Vincent Martel, executive producer at Frima Studio. “Our behind-the-scenes trailer offers a sneak peek of the different steps involved in bringing Fated to life in virtual reality.”

Developed with Unreal Engine 4, Fated: The Silent Oath is a first-person immersive adventure set in the mythical age of Vikings and built specifically for virtual reality. Written by Jill Murray, a writer on Assassin’s Creed, Fated tells the story of a man and his family during Ragnarök – the end times. On their journey, as he comes across a mix of touching and terrifying events, this man learns about himself and his loved ones, taking the players on a fully immersive emotional rollercoaster.

Fated leverages the capabilities of VR to bring about a leap forward in storytelling. Featuring high-quality writing, characterization, and voice acting, Fated aims to transport the players to a world of myth and legend, and to make them feel a true emotional connection with the story and its characters.

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has released the first official gameplay trailer for LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has released the first official gameplay trailer for LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens, showcasing the exciting new content that will be coming to a galaxy… not so far, far away on June 28, 2016. For the first time, fans can get a glimpse of the brand new features available in this epic adventure, including:

Blaster Battles – Players can now engage in intense Blaster Battles, seeking cover behind nearby objects and structures, which is a first for a LEGO game. Characters can then pop out from the safety of cover to fight enemies with blaster fire.

Game of Thrones: A Telltale Games Series is now available at retailers as a disc release on game consoles and PC.

Telltale Games and HBO Global Licensing have announced that the critically-acclaimed Game of Thrones: A Telltale Games Series is now available at retailers as a disc release on game consoles and PC.

Based on the award-winning HBO television drama series, Game of Thrones: A Telltale Games Series tells the story of House Forrester. Caught up in the fight for the Iron Throne, they are placed in a precarious position where members of the household must do everything they can to prevent the house from meeting its doom.

The six episode series is available on a season pass disc at retailers in North America beginning today on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, and Xbox 360 for the suggested retail price of $29.99 USD or equivalent; and beginning November 20th in Europe on these consoles as well as for PC. Also available digitally today is the dramatic conclusion in the season finale episode, ‘The Ice Dragon,’ marking the first time in Telltale’s release history that the finale is available simultaneously across all console, PC/Mac and mobile platforms, day and date, worldwide.

The game series is based on the world, characters and events seen in the hit HBO TV show Game of Thrones, which in turn is based on George R. R. Martin’s books (A Song of Ice and Fire). The events in the game series begin towards the end of Season Three of the TV series and end right before the beginning of Season Five. Players visit familiar locations such as King’s Landing and The Wall, as well as unfamiliar locations such as Ironrath, the home of House Forrester.

The game is played from five different points of view. Each is either a direct Forrester family member, or a person in service to the House. Scattered across Westeros and Essos, each will play their part in seeking to save House Forrester from destruction.

Paranormal platformer to launch on PC, Mac, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Wii U and Xbox One

The power of gaming compels you to gather controllers and battle poltergeists as paranormal platformer and action party game Extreme Exorcism takes possession of PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Wii U, Xbox One, and PC via Steam on September 23. Developed by indie team Golden Ruby Games and published by Ripstone Publishing, Extreme Exorcism will release for $12.99.

In the game, players take on the role of Extreme Exorcist Mae Barrons – whose unconventional supernatural skills are called upon when everything and everyone else has failed to rid a haunted house of its ghostly presence. However, these aren’t your average poltergeists, as each time a spirit is eliminated, another will mimic Mae’s prior movements, weapon fires and dodges. With Extreme Exorcism, players are their own worst enemy and the longer they survive, the more chaotic the game becomes.

To aid in her efforts, Mae’s equipped with a lethal arsenal of more than 20 ghost-busting weapons, including swords, guns, grenades, mines, rocket launchers, razor-sharp boomerangs, lightning spells and Kung-Fu moves. She’ll need all the firepower she can obtain, as she’ll face 50 challenges, a single player story mode, and local multiplayer with up-to four players, including both Co-op and Deathmatch modes.

Features of the game include:

Not Your Average Ghosts – Each time a ghost is eliminated another will appear to mimic a player’s every move, so exorcists must tread carefully, or prepare to reap what they sow. The longer someone survives, the more challenging the game becomes.

A Deadly Arsenal – Mae’s approach is a little extreme, but a cross, holy water and a Bible just won’t cut it with these ghosts. She’s armed with a bevy of weapons, including swords, guns, grenades, mines,
rocket launchers, razor – sharp boomerangs, lightning spells, Kung-Fu moves and much more.

Story Mode – As Mae, players progress through 10 areas of a haunted mansion, expelling ghosts from the human world and sending them back into the afterlife once and for all. Ghost fighters can take on evil spirits alone or combat poltergeists with a friend co-operatively.

Multiplayer – Extreme Exorcism features comprehensive local multiplayer, providing evil spirit hunters with nonstop ghost annihilation for up to four players.

Challenge Mode – Ghost fighters looking for even tougher battles can compete in Challenge Mode, which feature specific rule setups that encourage extreme play.

Deathmatch – There can only be one extreme exorcist and with an arsenal of lethal weapons at their disposal, players can take on friends in Deathmatch to see who has the ultimate fighting skills.

Leaderboards – Players can show off their ghost-hunting prowess by dominating poltergeists and the online leaderboards. Compare scores with friends and exorcists from around the wider world to see who reigns supreme.

Pokkén Tournament, the arcade Pokémon/Tekken hybrid brawler, coming to Wii U, Spring 2016.

At the commencement of the Pokémon World Championships, attendees and online viewers were presented with an announcement trailer declaring that Japanese arcade fighting game Pokkén Tournament will be heading to Wii U worldwide in the spring of 2016.

Pokkén Tournament was developed by combining the fighting from Namco-Bandi’s Tekken series and characters from The Pokemon Company. Hence the hybrid game title. The game was released to Japanese arcades in 2015 much to the envy of Pokémon fans around the world.

Unlike the traditional 3D Pokémon battle games which follow the same turn-based mechanic from the main games, Pokkén Tournament utilizes the real-time battle-royale gameplay from Tekken. Characters are fully controlled, from movement to attacking and blocking, bringing a refreshing take on Pokémon battling and seeming more akin to the Pokémon Anime.

Many fighting-type Pokémon appear in the game, as expected, as well as a handful of fan favorites including Pikachu and Charizard. The trailer also introduced an alternate form of Pikachu , “Pikachu Libre”, clad in a Mexican luchador costume. One can assume that there will likely be more additional content on the way. Check out the trailer below and let us know what you think of this game.

Day one at San Diego Comic Con held much excitement as Lego announced the addition of ‘The Doctor’ to the playable roster of Lego Dimensions. And not just one version of Doctor Who, as the trailer below shows that all 12 regenerations of The Doctor are included. He’ll cycle through each upon dying in the game and regenerate as another. The T.A.R.D.I.S will appear, playing an important role in the game and will reflect its interior design based on the current Doctor present.

The trailer also confirms the appearance of The Simpsons, and Portal franchises in this title.

Check out our Q&A with Harmonix's PR and Communications Lead Nick Chester regarding the recently announced Rock Band 4.

In March, Harmonix announced that Rock Band 4 is now in development after a gap of 5 years since the release of Rock Band 3. In the late-2000s, the Guitar Hero and Rock Band series were fighting for control in almost every living room to be the ultimate rhythm game, and yet both fizzled out after their 2010 releases at a respectable height of success. At that point in time, GH and RB had put out a combined 20 separate games between 2005 and 2010 to the point where over-saturation was starting to harm buyers interest in buying another game when they already had some. Now, it seems that both Rock Band and Guitar Hero are making a come back for 2015.

Rock Band 4 is making its debut well within the 8th generation of gaming and the technology has the potential to bring Rock Band to a completely new level. With new technology at their disposal, I reached out to Harmonix’s PR and Communications Lead, Nick Chester, who was gracious enough to give me some answers.

The Instruments:

Can fans be expecting a return of “Pro-Mode” and, if so, will there be any expansion or innovation in the line of Midi devices?

“Pro Mode will be returning for drums only. In regards to MIDI devices and support, we can’t really speak to that at the moment.”

Will there be any new features on the new 5 button guitars/4 pad drums?

“The peripherals players will use will be largely unchanged from a functional standpoint. So that’s 10 buttons (5 top, 5 “smaller” buttons on the bottom), whammy, strum bar, and switcher for the guitar; four pads, kick pedal, with support for optional cymbals. The Xbox One and PlayStation 4 will feature component-level improvements to make them more reliable and better than before. Because we wanted to support last-generation instruments and the purchases our fans made, we didn’t want to make any major changes that would cause incompatibility. That said, there’s a lot of innovation that can be done in the software and in the gameplay; you don’t have to dramatically change an input device to innovate or evolve a gameplay experience. We can’t wait to show those innovations off soon!”

Will any of the Rock Band 4 peripherals be compatible with the newly announced Guitar Hero Live, considering the newly revamped guitar that they are pushing forward and its lack of backwards compatibility? How about the other way around?

“That would be a question for Activision regarding whether or not our peripherals will work with their game. Regarding whether or not their instruments will work with our game, our stance has always been that if you have an instrument peripheral with inputs that would make sense for our game, we’d love to support it. This was the case last generation where we worked to support all matter of guitar controllers — and drums! — for our titles. Of course, we wouldn’t be able to say if we could do that until after launch of both of our titles. It may not even be possible.”

Will the keyboard controller be returning?

“We’re focusing on the core of the Rock Band experience – guitar, bass, drums, and vocals. We’re proud of the work we were able to do in order to implement keyboards into Rock Band 3, including creating an entirely new peripheral around that gameplay experience. For Rock Band 4, however, it’s important for us to focus on where the vast majority of players are in order to create the best, most focused experience, and that’s guitar, bass, drums, and vocals.”

Are any other instruments or peripherals in development?

“None at the moment.”

The Cameras:

Will Rock Band 4 utilize the XBox One Kinect/PS4 Camera in any way?

“We have no plans to implement the Kinect or PlayStation Camera.”

Will we see the ability to insert oneself into the game or to record “living room music videos”?

“Again, can’t speak to much to specific features like that, but I can say we’re looking at allowing things like Twitch streaming and game capture in certain contexts, for sure.”

Development:

Will we see Rock Band 4 playable in some form at E3 2015?

“Absolutely! We can’t wait to show people what we’re up to and more importantly, let people play it for themselves this year.”

Any particular reason Rock Band 4 will not be releasing for the Nintendo Wii U?

“Harmonix is an independent studio and we’re self-publishing Rock Band 4, along with our partners at Mad Catz. That’s a huge undertaking. In order for us to make this happen, we have to focus, and right now that’s on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. We’re open to bringing the game to other platforms if it makes sense and we can, but we have nothing to announce right now.”

When did development begin?

“Rock Band 4 is the result of years of brainstorming and prototyping, much of which began after we launched Rock Band 3. While we hadn’t been actively working on a Rock Band follow up, instead focusing on other projects, we’ve never stopped thinking about what we could do in order to evolve and continued innovate in this space. The core team on the Rock Band 4 game we’ll ship this year, including work building an entire new-gen engine to support it, started a little over a year ago.”

Is Rock Band 4 expected to be a title that will stand as a platform for songs for years to come or would a successful launch put efforts for a “Rock Band 5” in production?

“We don’t have any plans to launch a Rock Band 5 next year; we truly see Rock Band 4 as THE music gaming platform for this generation, and we’ll update it with music content as we always have, as well as other game content to keep the experience fresh.”

Overview

5 years of silence, in my opinion, is probably the best thing that could happen to this game series. Any gamer, hardcore or casual, who’s in their late 20s or late teens most likely spent some time playing one of these guitar-wielding band simulators and by this point has gotten over the overwhelming titles of the previous decade. “Distance makes the heart grow fonder” comes to mind. While some fans with newer consoles probably won’t feel the desire to invest in a whole new set of controllers, I’m sure some fans are now realizing how much they miss the series. I’m more of a Guitar Hero man myself, but I am very excited for the potential of Rock Band 4.

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has brought online an extended look at official gameplay from Rocksteady Studios’ Batman: Arkham Knight. As the citizens of Gotham flee and criminal gangs take control of the city, Batman uses his own special methods to discover the true purpose behind Scarecrow’s plans.

Batman: Arkham Knight will now be released for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on June 23. The previous release date was June 2.

About the delay, Game Director Sefton Hill said: “Batman: Arkham Knight will now launch worldwide on June 23, 2015. We’re a developer that hates to make any compromises, so we are sorry to say this means it’s going to be just a little bit longer until you can play the epic conclusion to the Arkham trilogy. As a reward for your patience and understanding, and to make the wait even more unbearable, we are pleased to whet your appetite with a new gameplay video of Batman: Arkham Knight.”

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, TT Games, and The LEGO Group have released the first trailer for LEGO Jurassic World, the latest addition to the wildly successful LEGO videogame series. The all-new game will feature in LEGO form the first three blockbuster Jurassic Park films as well as Jurassic World, the long-awaited next installment in the groundbreaking Jurassic Park series. The game will be available June 2015 for the Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita, Wii U, Nintendo 3DS, and PC . Developed by TT Games, the LEGO Jurassic World videogame will complement the new LEGO Jurassic World building sets, which will be available in May 2015.

Following the epic storylines of Jurassic Park, The Lost World, Jurassic Park III, and the upcoming Jurassic World, LEGO Jurassic World is the first videogame where players will be able to relive and experience all four Jurassic Park franchise films.

Naughty Dog has revealed the first gameplay of Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End. Several years after his last adventure, retired fortune hunter Nathan Drake is forced back into the world of thieves. With the stakes much more personal, Drake embarks on a globe-trotting journey in pursuit of a historical conspiracy behind a fabled pirate treasure. His greatest adventure will test his physical limits, his resolve, and ultimately what he’s willing to sacrifice to save the ones he loves.

According to Naughty Dog, the game is still in the pre-alpha stage of development, but everything you see in the video is in-game and in real-time running at 1080p and a stable 30hz.

Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End will be available in 2015.
