The upcoming Batman vs. Superman film already has high stakes, as the movie will be the first big screen meeting of the World’s Finest, but now those stakes are even higher.
Director Zack Snyder has officially announced that Gal Gadot will play Wonder Woman in the follow-up to Man of Steel.
“Wonder Woman is arguably one of the most powerful female characters of all time and a fan favorite in the DC Universe. Not only is Gal an amazing actress, but she also has that magical quality that makes her perfect for the role. We look forward to audiences discovering Gal in the first feature film incarnation of this beloved character,” said Snyder.
Gadot is best known for her role in the last three Fast & Furious movies, and reportedly beat out actresses Olga Kurylenko and Elodie Yung for the part.
